G’day and welcome to What a Load of Croc. It was a big week last week that saw the Pizzas return, Friday night roast and then the Mother’s Day Big Brekky. Our new staff for this season are settling in nicely and getting into the rhythm of the park. Those of you who
have arrived have noticed the improvements that have been made to the park and we thank you for your positive feedback.
We wish you all an enjoyable stay when you stay with us and we encourage you all to come and enjoy what we provide such as the pizzas and Friday nights as this what we do to enhance your experience with us.

Caravan/Powered Site Check in Time
Please note that check in time for any powered or unpowered site booking be it short or long term is strictly from 11am. This is to allow our grounds staff to conduct departure checks and prepare sites for arrival.
Speed of vehicles
It is very important that all vehicles observe the walking pace speed limit that we have in place here in the park. We have this to protect everybody safety including kids that ride around on their bikes. It also reduces the dust emissions that come from a moving vehicle.

Friday Night Roast
This week we cooking up Roast Pork and veges accompanied with gravy and/or Apple Sauce. Happy Hour begins at 5pm with live entertainment from Les Kropp. Dinner service is around 6.45pm with desserts available to purchase from the cafe after dinner.
Check out the board outside the cafe during the evening and I will announce the menu when we draw the lucky door prizes. Bookings are essential and can be made at Reception prior to 2pm Friday. It is BYO Plate and Cutlery and of course your beverages.
You can also pre book for any Friday night by contacting the park.

As mentioned earlier with the check in time for powered or unpowered sites being 11am onward, if your arrival is going to be after 5pm when the office closes please make contact with us by phoning 47 459277. We can then set up a late arrival self check in procedure with you by providing a lock box code that will give you access to a map showing you where your site or accommodation is.
Our cafe is open for business daily from 9am to 3pm daily. We have a selection of foods and beverages to choose from. We now have extra Ice Cream Flavours for the cones such as Chocolate, Vanilla Cookies n Cream, Macadamia and Strawberry.

Wood Fired Pizzas
Wood Fired Pizzas return on Wednesday 10th May between 5pm and 7.30pm. We will be making Meatlovers, Hawaiian, Satay Chicken and our new pizza BBQ Chicken and Feta. You can pre-order your at reception for a certain time. We then cook more up on Sunday 12pm to 2pm.
Sunset Bingo is back!!!!!!
Every Wednesday at 9.30am we hold our Sunset Bingo with free coffee, tea and biscuits supplied to players. Don’t forget you can enjoy a Mango Smoothie at half time, orders for those are taken at the cafe before play starts. Last week saw multiple winners so as they say winners are grinners so come on down.
Art and Craft
Art and Craft has also returned on Thursday afternoons from 1pm with free coffee, tea and biscuits provided. Bring your craft and join in.
There are to be no vehicles/ trailers/ caravans parked on or driven over any concrete slabs at anytime. Damage will be sustained if this is done so under no circumstances place any part of any vehicle on the slab. Thank you for your co-operation.
70’s Disco Charity Night
On June 30 we are holding a 70’s Disco Night to raise money for the Cancer Council. Dress up in your best 70’s disco gear with prizes given out to the best dressed of the night. This will be judged from a panel of “expert” judges. The cover charge is a minimum $5.00
which will be the donation toward the Cancer Council so if you would like to donate more please do as it is a very worthy cause.
There are no meals done this night.
Wednesday Pizza Happy Hour Coming Soon
On Wednesday 7th and 14th June we have Bruce Keipert performing live from 5pm to 7.30pm. Bruce has played drums from childhood and has covered a wide range of musical styles over his career. He completed his national service as a drummer for the army big band and has formed numerous bands in Adelaide, Sydney and the Central Coast. Bruce also is a vocalist and will perform live on these two Wednesday nights for us here at the Sunset Caravan Park.
Fish Bins and use of Fish Cleaning Area
Wheelie Bins painted yellow are utilised for the fish frames and scrap and are located adjacent to the fish cleaning area on the fence. There is to be no other rubbish to be placed into these bins.
We do tour bookings for Kerry D Fishing Charters, Karumba Fishing Adventures, The Ferryman Cruises, Croc and Crab Tours and Queensland Rail’s The Gulflander train that runs out of Normanton. Bookings on all of these can be made at Reception between 9am
and 4.30pm. For more information pop into reception and ask our friendly staff and pick up some brochures. In BREAKING NEWS, we now do bookings for Karumba Saltwater Fishing Charters. All of these tour bookings we do for you are done FREE OF CHARGE.
Those of you who reside down on the back row past the Villas would have seen that I have placed out witch’s hats to educate all that this is the shape of the new road to allow sites 136,137 to come forward. Please do not relocate these hats unless you need to access through that point. Then put hat back in place. Thanks.
