May has arrived and we now know that the season has arrived. We are now in rythym with our meal nights with beautiful meals being served each Friday night.
IN BREAKING NEWS, Glenda Kropp got hit in the back from a flying barra out in the boat. Who needs fishing rods eh? That’s two times now this season but I’m not sure on the validity of the first barra in the boat encounter not naming anybody Brian…….
The Ferryman spotted the big black croc out lurking in the river so beware!!!! Also a big thank you to Harold and Desley for the lovely raisin bread.

Caravan/Powered Site Check in Time
Please note that check in time for any powered site booking be it short or long term is strictly 11am from now on. This is to allow our grounds staff to conduct departure checks and prepare sites for arrival.
Speed of vehicles
It is very important that all vehicles observe the walking pace speed limit that we have in place here in the park. We have this to protect everybody safety including kids that ride around on their bikes. It also reduces the dust emissions that come from a moving vehicle. SAFETY FIRST FOR EVERYBODY.
Friday Night Roast
This week we cooking up a Roast Beef and veges accompanied with gravy. Happy Hour begins at 5pm with live entertainment from Les Kropp. Dinner service is around 6.45pm with desserts available to purchase from the cafe after dinner. Check out the board outside the cafe during the evening and I will announce the menu when we draw the lucky door prizes. Bookings are essential and can be made at Reception prior to 2pm Friday.

Mother’s Day Big Brekky
This Sunday the 14th of May we are holding a big brekky for Mother’s Day at 9am at the Entertainment Area. The cost is $15 per Adult and $7.50 per child under 12 years. There will be bacon, sausages, scrambled and fried eggs, tomato with Toast. Self serve tea and coffee will also be available. Bookings can be made at Reception up until 5pm Saturday 13th May. Bookings are essential.
Our cafe is open for business daily from 9am to 3pm. We have a selection of foods and beverages to choose from. We now have extra Ice Cream Flavours for the cones such as Boysenberry, Rum n Raisin, Cookies n Cream, Macadamia and Strawberry.

Wood Fired Pizzas
Wood Fired Pizzas return on Wednesday 10th May between 5pm and 7.30pm. We will be making Meatlovers, Hawaiian and Satay Chicken. You can preorder your at reception for a certain time. We then cook more up on Sunday 12pm to 2pm.
Sunset Bingo Returns!!!!!!
You have all been waiting for this as our famous Sunset Bingo returns! It starts at 9.30am with free coffee, tea and biscuits supplied to players. Don’t forget you can enjoy a Mango Smoothie at half time, orders for those are taken before play starts.
Art and Craft
Art and Craft has also returned on Thursday afternoons from 1pm with free coffee, tea and biscuits provided. Bring your craft and join in.
There are to be no vehicles/ trailers/ caravans parked on or driven over any concrete slabs at anytime. Damage will be sustained if this is done so under no circumstances place any part of any vehicle on the slab. Thank you for your cooperation.
70’s Disco Charity Night
On June 30 we are holding a 70’s Disco Night to raise money for the Cancer Council. Dress up in your best 70’s disco gear with prizes given out to the best dressed of the night. This will be judged from a panel of “expert” judges. The cover charge is a minimum $5.00 which will be the donation toward the Cancer Council so if you would like to donate more please do as it is a very worthy cause. There are no meals done this night.
There is a scheduled power outage by Ergon Energy on Thursday 11th May from 9am to 2pm. Please refrain from using the Washing Machines from 8.30am onward until the power returns as they won’t make it through the cycle.
Fish Bins and use of Fish Cleaning Area
Wheelie Bins painted yellow are utilised for the fish frames and scrap and are located adjacent to the fish cleaning area on the fence. There is to be no other rubbish to be placed into these bins.
We also would like to ask those of you who utilise this area to leave the table clean for the next person. If any of you decide to use the disabled amenities please close the door when finished and do not hook the door back.
We do tour bookings for Kerry D Fishing Charters, Karumba Fishing Adventures, The Ferryman Cruises, Croc and Crab Tours and Queensland Rail’s The Gulflander train that runs out of Normanton. Bookings on all of these can be made at Reception between 9am and 4.30pm. For more information pop into reception and ask our friendly staff and pick up some brochures. Thank you.
Our pool is open from 8am to 8pm daily. Please observe all pool rules that are there to protect your safety. This includes no alcohol and glass in the pool area. No bombing or any unsafe behaviour that would place yourself or anybody in danger. No children are to be there without a responsible adult present.
