When you check in to our Park
When you check into our park this year we will take you to your site or accommodation as part of us welcoming you in. For sites it is to show where your site is, the boundary and provide assistance if you require it. For the Villas or Deluxe Caravan it is to show you the basics of where to park and where to insert the key tag. This service is provided during check in hours which is 11.00am to 5.00pm for sites and 2pm to 5pm for Villas and the Deluxe Caravan.
Friday Night Roasts
Our Friday Night Roasts will return on the 10th May and run on Friday Nights through until August. You can now reserve your table by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phoning us on 07-47 459277. Bookings are essential. Don’t miss out as these are popular social nights with beautiful home cooked roasts and veges. We also do Lucky Door Prizes. The first roast night will be Roast Lamb with Veges and gravy/mint sauce. The only Friday that we don’t have a roast is on Friday 28th June which is our Fundraiser Night.
Fancy Dress Cancer Council Fundraiser
This year for our cancer council fundraiser we will be holding a fancy dress party where you can come dressed as your favourite character or idol. We will be holding this on Friday 28th June. Get your thinking caps on to come up with a great costume. Minimum Cover Charge is $5 per person which goes as a donation to the Queensland Cancer Council.
We do tour bookings at our reception free of charge as a service to you as we want you to experience the best of Karumba. Whether you want to go fishing, bird watching or go on an awesome sunset cruise, we can assist you. We do bookings for Kerry D Fishing Charters, Karumba Saltwater Fishing, The Ferryman Cruise and Croc n Crab Cruises. We also do bookings for Queensland Rail’s Gulflander train that runs out of Normanton. If you have booked with us and you would like to take in some or all of these adventures, call us on (07) 47 459277 or email us at email@example.com and we will pre-book your tour.
Sunset Bingo – Callers Wanted!!
From May until August we hold Sunset Bingo at the Entertainment Area on Wednesdays at 9.30am. Free Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are provided along with $5 Mango Smoothies from the Cafe. We are looking for two people (couple or two friends) to run Bingo from the commencing date in May until approximately mid June. Pet Friendly Park Rules
We allow pets into our park with the following guidelines. They must be restrained by lead or enclosure(small dogs) at all times within the park boundary. Pets cannot be left unattended or left to bark or howl at anytime. Pets are prohibited in the Office, Entertainment Area near Cafe, Amenities or Camp Kitchens. Pets are not permitted inside accommodation. This is for the benefit of all including your pets.
The Fishing Report
Last week the Black Jew Fish have been on the run. There has been some absolute beauties being caught all in excess of the 1 metre mark. The weather has been awesome for boating which has seen a lot of keen fisherman out there trying their luck. Well done to our catchers of the week with Derek and Judy (top) and Lenny also cashing in below!
Letters to the Editor
Welcome “Letters to the Editor”. We invite you to write into us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org using the subject heading “Letter to the Editor” and ask us any questions that you would like to about Karumba or the park. This week….
Will you be having entertainment at the park this season
Will & Betty
Yes, we are currently negotiating with a number of entertainers to come out here to play on Wednesdays and Friday nights. This includes a headline act that we are hoping to secure from Cairns for a rock and roll night. Stay tuned to the croc guys in weeks to come.
Our shop sells a wide variety of items such as clothing, souvenirs, drinks, ice creams, mini mart line, ice and bait. Each week we will highlight an item in our shop that we sell that you might like to buy. This week we feature our “Camping Nip Cups”. Imagine sitting around the fire late at night, sipping on a baileys.
