Welcome to “What a Load of Croc” for 2019. This publication is now in its fourth year and has come leaps and bounds since it was incepted way back in early May 2016. It is intended to provide our clients with all of the information and opportunities that are available for you to make the absolute most of staying out our caravan park and visiting Karumba.

Those of you who are avid readers of the Croc will now have noticed the new look and you will notice as you read through that there are new sections such as “Letters to the Editor”. We promised a new look Croc and as you will see, we have delivered.

We are very excited about the year ahead and we look forward to seeing you all either for the first time or again for the many years that some of you have been coming. Here’s to a great season ahead. Cheers!

The Season Ahead

What’s happening this year? Well, we have our favourite regular nights that have always proven to be popular and we are talking about our Wood Fired Pizzas and our Friday Night Roasts. This is exciting for us as we always look forward to these nights as they are a lot of fun for us as staff to put on.

New style of pizzas will be on the menu at certain times through the year along with the favourites such as Meatlovers, Hawaiian and Supreme. The Funky Chicken Pizza will return and we can let this secret out that one pizza will include Prawns but more info on that will be in the Croc’s to come. Wood Fired Pizzas will be commencing sometime through April and continue through to September. These will be predominantly on Wednesday nights.

Our Friday Night Roasts will return in May and run on Friday Nights through until August. We pride ourselves in beautiful flavourful home cooking with tender roasts with roast vegetables and greens. These are very popular social nights and we do lucky door prizes as well. Dates of when we start this will be in the Croc’s to come.

Fancy Dress Cancer Council Fundraiser

This year for our cancer council fundraiser we will be holding a fancy dress party where you can come dressed as your favourite character or idol. We intend to hold this somewhere around the end of June or early July. More info to come in the future in the Croc.

The Fishing Report

Well the Barramundi are certainly running well at the moment with some great catches from some of our current clients staying here. Some from the bank of the Norman straight across from the park and in the boat as well. Ollie who only arrived a couple of days ago caught this lovely 75cm Barra.

The Barra are rolling in daily Another super Barra Brian Day 72 Centermetre Barra Already a good year but plenty to go Book now Be here

The good news is that there has been big barra, Black Jew and King Salmon being caught not only in the boat, but off the bank as well. Bait fish are also in huge numbers so all the signs point towards a big year.

Hey Guys,

Over the past year or so I have been a regular reader of the Croc and enjoy immensely all the great stories and information that you provide. You must have a great writer! When I heard last year that the Croc was going to be rejuvenated, I was overjoyed.

All I could think was, “Make the Croc Great Again”

Donald, Washington DC
