Yes.  We welcome cats and dogs.  Dogs must be on a lead.  Pets must be supervised at all times.

Yes.  We have a large size swimming pool suitable for adults and children who are supervised by an adult.

Yes.  We are a family-friendly, kid-friendly park.  We have a jungle gym and a swimming pool for children.

We do not allow permanent residents at this time.

Check-in time is from 1pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure.  Strictly enforced.

No open air fires or naked flames permitted.   This includes coal barbecues, candles and fireworks.

We sure do!  It accommodates up to 16 people.  There is a freezer on site to store away fish remains so there’s no nasty smell.

Yes. We have coin-operated washing machines.

Yes we do.  Wifi is strongest around Reception.

The park office is open from 7.30am to 5.30pm every day.

Yes.  Roads are sealed from Mt. Isa and Cairns.  The majority of road from Cairns is a dual carriageway.

Yes.  Karumba Point Sunset Caravan Park is a very popular park.  Especially during peak season.  We strongly recommend booking your stay in advance to avoid disappointment.

Yes. An internet station is available.  Free wifi also available.

Yes. An ATM is available at Ash’s Store in Karumba Point and at the Sunset Tavern across the road.

Yes.  There is a pharmacy, medical center and ambulance service in Karumba.  There is a hospital 70 kilometers away at Normanton.  The Flying Doctor also operates in the area for any unforeseen medical emergencies.  They operate during all weather seasons and conditions.

Yes.  All our villas are equipped with a kitchenette and cooking facilities.  Villas also include ensuite bathroom, dining table and chairs, outdoor seating area, microwave and television.

No. A license is not required for recreational fishing in Queensland tidal waters.  We recommend visiting the The Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries Queensland for further information about fishing in Karumba.
