- 20 Questions: One person thinks of an object, and the other players take turns asking yes or no questions to try to determine what it is. The player who guesses correctly gets to think of the next object.
- The Alphabet Game: Players take turns spotting road signs, license plates, or other objects that start with each letter of the alphabet in order. The first person to reach “Z” wins.
- Name That Tune: One player hums or sings a tune, and the other players try to guess what song it is. The first person to guess correctly becomes the next hummer/singer.
- The License Plate Game: Players try to spot license plates from as many different states as possible. The person with the most unique plates wins.
- The Storytelling Game: One person starts telling a story, and each player adds to it in turn. The story can take any direction, and the goal is to keep it going as long as possible.
- Two Truths and a Lie: Each player takes a turn telling three statements about themselves, two of which are true and one that is false. The other players try to guess which statement is the lie.
- Bingo: Make or purchase travel bingo cards with items such as “cow,” “windmill,” and “rest stop.” Players mark off items as they spot them on their trip. The first person to get five in a row wins.
- Word Association: One person says a word, and each player takes turns saying a word that is related to the previous word. The goal is to keep the chain going for as long as possible.
- Would You Rather?: Players take turns asking “would you rather” questions and answering them. Examples include “Would you rather visit the moon or live underwater?” and “Would you rather eat Vegemite every day for a year or never eat Vegemite again?”
- Road Trip Trivia: Test your knowledge of geography, history, and pop culture with road trip trivia questions.

- The Conversation Starter Game: Players take turns asking thought-provoking questions to spark conversation and get to know each other better.

- Car Karaoke: Sing along to your favorite songs with friends or family. Take turns picking the songs or play a game of “Name That Tune.”
- The Reverse Road Trip Game: Instead of searching for items on the road, players try to remember items they passed on the trip and then recount them in reverse order.
- The Road Trip Scavenger Hunt: Create a list of items or landmarks to find along the way, such as a red barn, a statue, old water tower, wild animal sighting, unique rock formation, or a certain fast food restaurant. The first team to find all items wins!
- Spot the Bird: Engage in a little Bird Spotting. Keep your eyes peeled for bird sightings. The person with the most sightings in a set timeframe wins!
